Hardware specialist Mighton Products is stepping up its international sales drive with a stand at this year’s Fensterbau Frontale, which takes place from 19th to the 22nd March in Nuremberg, Germany. The event, which takes place every two years, has long been established as Europe’s primary showcase for windows, doors and facades, and is visited by buyers from all over the world.
Mighton is using its first appearance at Fenesterbau to showcase both its high-tech Avia Smart security products together with the company’s leading hardware products produced for traditional box sash timber windows, for which the firm is highly respected globally.
The firm’s Avia Smart hardware, which utilises the Apple Homekit protocol, will see the launch of the Avia Deadbolt, a smart lock designed to replace USA-style deadbolts. Bringing all of the advantages of Avia technology to owners of USA-deadbolts including Apple Home Keys, as well as a built-in keypad, the new Avia Deadbolt opens up the advantages of Apple HomeKit smart security to millions more homeowners, both in the US as well as other territories that utilise USA-style deadbolts.
Other products in the Avia range include the casement window handle, and the unique vertical sliding sash window fastener, plus a brand new tilt n turn handle, all of which alert the homeowner via the free Avia app, if the window is opened. UK buyers visiting Fensterbau will also be able to see and try the new Avia Multipoint Smart Lock, which now offers Apple Home Key functionality to unlock an entrance door when sensing the proximity of the user’s smartphone.
The full Avia range of Apple HomeKit-secure smart sockets, smart secure door and window sensors and smart PIR sensors will also be shown.
As well as all the Apple HomeKit-secure tech behind Avia Smart hardware, all products are designed to be easily retrofitted, to most standard PVC-U, timber and aluminium doors and windows. Crucially, offering Avia Smart means no commitment to pre-installing electronics in frames during manufacture, allowing fabricators and installers to choose from a range of highly secure, Apple HomeKit-branded and endorsed smart products according to customer demand, with no subscription required.
Whilst Mighton offers some of the most advanced smart door and window security products on the market, the company’s roots are firmly in the development and supply of hardware for traditional timber frames. To show these at their best Mighton has two traditional box sash frames showing its high-quality springs and weights, with the best-selling Angel Ventlock child safety window restrictor also getting its first appearance at a Fensterbau.
