The Residence Door Collection by Apeer sees a partnership between two industry leading brands that has resulted in a superb range of 20 residential door designs, which have now also been tested to provide market-leading U values. The figure of 0.51 W/m2K for the solid designs in the range, is believed to be the lowest of any standard door currently available in the UK and Irish home improvement sectors. All doors within the range also boast U values well below the 0.89 W/m2K, required by the Passive House Institute for residential entrance doors.
Designed in partnership with The Residence Collection, Apeer has created a range of residential entrance doors that complement the brand’s windows in terms of aesthetics, quality and performance, achieved through a ground-breaking 120mm front-to-back format, with 78mm quadruple sealed glass units as standard in the glazed versions.
Construction is of GRP skins sandwiching a high-density PU core, which is reinforced with aluminium anti-cut-through mesh within the core of each door to further improve security. Every door in the range, offered in traditional, contemporary and stable door designs, is manufactured by Apeer at its 120,000 feet2 Ballymena factory, including all GRP skins and glass units.
Aimed squarely at the premium sector, nine standard colours are available (seven grained and two smooth), with the availability of full sidelights and top lights from launch, with half lights and others to follow. Standard specification also includes weather deflectors, and Stormguard or full frame thresholds. High quality hardware and furniture will be used throughout, whilst extra touches such as Ultion KeyTag-equipped, ‘Apple Find My’ trackable keys form a comprehensive standard specification.
The partnership between Residence Collection and Apeer, two independent and previously unconnected brands, is believed to be unique and one that offers an ideal combination of the brand strength and positioning of The Residence Collection and the engineering and manufacturing capabilities of Apeer, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading residential door makers.
The cooperation provides retail installers of The Residence Collection with an entrance door range that fully complements its celebrated timber alternative windows, with a market-leading specification and within a dramatically shortened development period.
Apeer enjoys the benefits of the brand association with The Residence Collection, and ability to supply the new range to its own retail installer network, providing them with ‘good, better and best’ products. Apeer now serves every level of the market, including 44mm, 70mm and now the new 120mm format.
